国際ロータリー年次大会 1961年（昭和36年）5月29日発行 1961年5月、国際ロータリ年次大会が開催された。郵政省はこれを記念して切手を発行した。ロータリークラブは、1905 年にシカゴで創設され、110年以上、さまざまな職業をもつ人や、市民のリーダーが「世界を変える行動人」となり、その経験と知識を生かして社会奉仕活動や人道的活動に取り組んできた。識字率向上、平和構築、水と衛生の改善など、幅広い分野で持続可能な影響をもたらすために、ロータリーの会員は世界中で活動している。日本最初のロータリークラブは１９２０年に創立された東京ロータリークラブで、翌１９２１年世界で８５５番目のクラブとして、国際ロータリーに加盟が承認された。切手には、ロータリークラブのロゴマークと世界の人々がデザインされている。
52nd Rotary International Convention Issued on May 29, 1961 (Showa 36) In May 1961, the International Rotary Annual Convention was held in Tokyo. The Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications issued stamps to commemorate the event.The Rotary Club was founded in Chicago in 1905, and for more than 115 years, people of various professions and citizen leaders have become "world-changing activists" and used their experience and knowledge to be engaged in community service and humanitarian activities. The organization and its members are working around the world to bring about sustainable impacts in a wide range of areas, including literacy, peacebuilding and water and sanitation. The first Rotary Club in Japan was the Tokyo Rotary Club, which was founded in 1920, and was approved to join Rotary International in 1921 as the 855th club in the world.The stamps are designed with the Rotary Club logo and people around the world.
