切手趣味週間 1956年（昭和31年） 11月 1日発行 1956年（昭和31年）11月、郵政省は、切手趣味週間記念切手を発行した。前年の「ビードロを吹く娘」にづいて、浮世絵から東洲斎写楽作「市川蝦蔵」をデザインした。 この切手は、切手収集界で通称「写楽」と呼ばれ、発売当初から絶大な人気を博した。東洲斎 写楽（とうしゅうさい しゃらく 生没年不詳）は、江戸中期の浮世絵作家である。約10か月の短い期間に役者絵を版行したのち、忽然と画業を絶って姿を消した謎の絵師として知られる。そのプロフィールは謎だったが、、現在では阿波徳島藩の能役者斎藤十郎兵衛（さいとう じゅうろべえ、1763ー1820）との説が有力となっている。
