World Children`s Day Issued on May 5, 1956 (Showa 31)

World Children`s Day Issued on May 5, 1956 (Showa 31) In May 1956 (Showa 31), the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications issued a type of stamp to commemorate World Children's Day.World Children's Day was recommended at the United Nations General Assembly in 1954 to establish "World Children's Day" for the purpose of promoting mutual understanding and welfare of children. In Japan, "Children's Day" May 5th was devoted to this.
By the way, the size of this stamp is the same as the first national park (4x 2.25 cm). Vertical and horizontal size stamps have been issued in the past, but most of them look impressive. (For example, there are 30 sen stamps commemorating the 75th anniversary of the founding of the postal service issued in ,Hiroshima / Nagasaki Peace Memorial issued in 1949 , 3 types of Shikoku Expo, newspaper week, etc.)
