歴史的背景
1872年（明治5）、明治政府は、既に数世紀にわたって薩摩藩（現在の鹿児島県）の準支配下にあった琉球王国を、廃藩置県に併せて冊封（外交的支配下に置く）したて、清国との外交関係の停止を求めた。その後、琉球王国は、明治政府の強い要請で「沖縄県」の設置を受入れ、琉球王国は500年余りの歴史に幕を閉じた。最終的な領有権御解決は、1894年（明治27）の日清戦争後で、清国は日本に台湾を割譲し、同時に琉球に対する日本の主権を認めた。1945年6月、沖縄はアメリカ軍により殲滅された。同年12月にアメリカ軍政府が設置され、1946年（昭和21）3月、琉球民政府が設立された。その直前の２月１日に、それまでの日本切手（大日本帝国郵便）にそれぞれの地区の郵便局長印を押した暫定切手が発行された。富山印は、１９４８年６月３０日まで宮古島地区で暫定的に使用された切手である。1948年（昭和23）7月、琉球切手（第1次普通）が正規に発行され、暫定切手は姿を消した。琉球切手は、その後B円切手 （終戦後の沖縄で暫定的に米軍が発行した日本円軍票）が発行され、1958年（昭和33）9月16日、沖縄通貨がB型軍票（B円）から米国ドルに統一された。1972年（昭和47）4月、切手趣味週間を最後に沖縄は本土復帰のため切手発行を終了した。

The Toyama stamp is a stamp that was tentatively used in the Miyakojima areauntil June 30, 1948. In July 1948 (Showa 23), Ryukyu stamps (1st ordinary) were officiallyissued, and provisional stamps disappeared. Ryukyu stamps were then issued as B-yenstamps (Japanese-yen military stamps tentatively issued by the U.S. military in Okinawaafter the end of the war), and on September 16, 1958, the Okinawa currency was B-typemilitary stamps (B-yen). ) Was unified into the US dollar. In April 1972 (Showa 47),Okinawa stopped issuing stamps to return to the mainland at the end of Stamp HobbyWeek.
